Grounds Maintenance

Salamander Court, Leith

Salamander Court is a new modern development situated in Leith very close to the Shore, Ocean Terminal and Leith Links. This is another development managed by our good client Hacking and Paterson.

We supply the weekly grounds maintenance for the external communal areas at this modern development in Leith. These areas consist of carparks, bin stores, flower beds and raised patios.

We ensure that the carpark areas are free from litter and sweep and sweep any debris such as leaves, dust and dirt. This also includes picking and removing any dog mess. The bin stores regularly have garbage on the ground that requires to be bagged and put in the bins. We then sweep the bin stores, ensuring to pull out the bins and sweeping behind them. The flower beds are regularly weeded, and soil turned over. The plants and bushes are periodically trimmed as required.

We sweep the raised patio areas and ensure they are free from litter and dog mess. As necessary we weed in the patios and apply weed killer. Our pro-active approach in supplying feedback to the client has led to us arranging pigeon spiking, power washing of certain areas of the car park and bin stores, removal of bulky items dumped and re-landscaping of the flowerbeds. We also let the client know if there is any damage such as broken communal doors.

Edinburgh Council have been trying to tackle the issue of dog owners not picking up after their dogs mess in public places such as streets and parks in and around Edinburgh and Leith. They are asking for witness to report it online.
